Monday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m., Factory Seconds Brass Trio performed a concert featuring works by Bach, Hindemith, and Nelhybel. The program also included the world premiere of a work for brass by contemporary classical music composer David Loeb. The performance took place in the outstanding acoustical environment of the sanctuary at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 20401 Hilliard Boulevard in Rocky River.
Rick Stout- "It's an honor to be included on the longstanding Rocky River series. We've combined several of our areas of interest for this one concert. We are opening with a set of Arcadelt chansons, a perfect way to open a first half of all transcriptions, including five of the Bach Sinfonias, or 3-part Inventions. Our second half is all original brass trio music, including one premiered by us and one we are premiering that night. It's an entirely different but equally palpable feel, trying to honor greats like Bach and Hindemith in transcription; and pulling off new music, feeling humbled that really great composers are writing music specifically for our trio."
